I think the birds will like fruit more then vegetables.
They will probably like fruit more then vegies because fruit is sweet and it's easier to eat. Vegies are hard and colder then fruit so they might not want to eat it as much as fruit.
Materials:
Bird feeder
A wide range of fruit
A wide range of vegetables
Procedure:
Get two different bird feeders, put fruit in one and vegies in the other.
Put both bird feeders in the same general area.
Watch, and see which bird feeder has less food in it by the end of (unknown) amount of time.
See which different kinds of fruit/vegetables have been eaten and which have not.
Research:
I found out that on the internet they said many things about birds eating fruits and vegetables, but nothing about which they like more. I did see that they do like apples, bananas, melons and pears more then other fruits. I could not find what types of vegetables they like.
Independent variables:
One bird feeder has fruit
One bird feeder has vegies
Dependent Variables:
The placement of the bird feeders
The weather?
Conclusion:
In the end, the birds barely ate anything at all. I don't know if the bird feeders were too close to my house, or if they didn't like any of the fruit or vegetables I put out for them. There were only nibbles in some of the fruit, like the apples, and some bites out of the lettuce.
